The felicitation function of the meritorious students of the S.S.C. Batch of April 2024 was organized at Mushtifund High School, Cujira, St. Cruz Goa on Saturday, 6th July 2024 to acknowledge the performance of the school toppers of S.S.C. at the Goa Board examination and S.S.C. students excelling in the field of sports.
The felicitation function was organized by Mushtifund High School’s P.T.A. and the Management of Mushtifund Saunstha. The Chief Guest, Dr. Ramnath Prasad Nevrekar (Alumnus Mushtifund Saunstha & Assoc. Prof. Department of Medicine, Goa Medical College, Bambolim -Goa), Shri. Suhas H. Sardessai (Administrator of Mushtifund Saunstha) Shri. Dilip N. Dharwadkar (Treasurer of Mushtifund Saunstha), Shri. Navnath Parulekar (Principal, Mushtifund Higher Secondary School) Mrs. Aparna Chari (Headmistress of Mushtifund High School), Mrs. Chantal Gracias (Asst. Headmistress), Mrs. Beena G.K. Shankhwalker (Asst. Headmistress), Mr. Sagar Agni (Chairperson of Mushtifund High School -P.T.A.) and Mrs. Anisha N.S. Salgaonkar (Secretary Mushtifund High School-PTA) graced the occasion with their auspicious presence.
The programme began with a welcome song sung by the student music group trained by the music teachers, Miss Nandini Chari, Mr. Sanjay Narvekar & Mrs. Mamta Kankonkar, followed by Saraswati Poojan and lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. The dignitaries were welcomed by the Headmistress, Mrs. Aparna Chari who also read out the highlights of the S.S.C. Board results of the school for the year 2024. The Chief Guest was introduced to the audience by Mrs. Anisha N.S. Salgaonkar, Secretary MHSPTA. Shri Suhas H. Sardessai too addressed the august gathering and congratulated the meritorious students.
This year 36 students scoring 85% marks and above in SSC 2024 Goa Board Examination and other students excelling in the field of sports were felicitated at the hands of the chief guest, Dr. Ramnath Prasad Nevrekar. Amongst these students were Miss Urvi Paresh Onsker, topper of the school scoring 97.17 % marks, followed by Master Gauraang Rajendra Phutankar with 96.83 % marks, so also Miss Bhargavi Manoj Morgovekar with 96.67 % marks each.
Annual Mushtifund Saunstha Scholarships were given to the deserving SSC students. Teacher Mrs. Anisha N.S. Salgaonkar announced the names of meritorious students while the list of annual scholarships for the year 2023-2024 was read out by teacher Mrs. Ulka Kamar. The prizes were distributed by the chief guest and the other dignitaries on the dais.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Nevrekar in his speech congratulated the students for their efforts and achievement. Dr. Ramnath spoke about handling the stress of higher education by taking care of the body, mind & soul. Basically, he advised the students to manage their physical, mental and spiritual health. Further he talked about goal identification and considering this fixed goal to be their passion to achieve the desired success.
Some of the Meritorious students shared their memorable experiences with the students of the current S.S.C. batch and gave them valuable guidance.
The felicitation function was compered by teacher Mrs. Grace Estibeiro. As a token of love and appreciation, a memento was presented to the Chief guest by Shri Dilip N. Dharwadkar, Treasurer of Mushtifund Saunstha.
The function ended with the Pasayadan sung by Miss Ishwari Pradeep Joshi, student of Std. VII. Finally, the vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Sagar S.S. Agni , Chairperson of Mushtifund High School -P.T.A. The Programme was well attended by the parents of the meritorious students, staff and students of the school.
