Mushtifund Konkani Mandal Hosts Manohar Parrikar All Goa Konkani Elocution Competition 2024
Madgao, 13 December 2024: To commemorate the birth anniversary of late Manohar Parrikar, former Chief Minister of Goa and Defence Minister of India, the Manohar Parrikar All Goa Konkani Elocution Competition 2024 was organized by Mushtifund Konkani Mandal, Cujira, in association with Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir, Margao, and YUVA, Panaji at Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir Madgao.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 29 students across Goa, showcasing their passion for the Konkani language and culture. Presiding over the event as the Chief Guest was renowned educationist Bhaskar Naik, with Prashant Naik, a prominent Konkani leader and social worker, gracing the occasion as the Guest of Honor.
Winners of the Competition:
1st Prize: Shrija Alve, Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir High School, Margao
2nd Prize: Rezzi Parab, St. John of the Cross High School, Sanquelim
3rd Prize: Priyanka Porob, GS Amonkar High School, Mapusa

1st Consolation: Athashri Naik, AJ de Almeida High School, Ponda
2nd Consolation: Ansha Naik, Shri Nirakar Vidyalaya High School, Canacona
3rd Consolation: Shrishti Gavas, Dr. KB Hedgewar High School, Cujira
This competition was judged by Navanath Khandeparkar, Dilip Prabhudessai andMarcus Gonsalves, eminent personalities from the state of Goa. Anant Agni, Headmaster of Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir, Sanath Bharne,President of Mushtifund Konkani Mandal and Mrs. Beena Shankhwalker, Asst.Headmistress of Mushtifund High School were present during the event.
The event was compered by Brijesh Shet Dessai, Anant Agni welcomed the gathering and vote of thanks was proposed by Sanath Bharne.
The event aimed to inspire and nurture young talent, fostering pride in Konkani heritage while helping students develop their public speaking skills. The participants impressed the judges and audience with their eloquence and thoughtful perspectives on various topics.

The competition stood as a tribute to Manohar Parrikar’s enduring legacy, inspiring the youth of Goa to uphold and promote their cultural roots.
