Mushtifund High School Celebrates Doctors’ Day with Esteemed Alumnus Dr. Mithila Prabhudesai
On the eve of Doctors’ Day 2025 Mushtifund High School had the distinct honour of welcoming back one of its brightest alumni, DR. MITHILA PRABHUDESAI, to address current students and celebrate her remarkable journey in the field of medicine.
Dr. Prabhudesai, an exemplary all-rounder during her school years, distinguished herself not only academically but also across a variety of co‑curricular pursuits. Her dedication, energy, and passion brought pride and laurels to the school on numerous occasions.
During today’s assembly, Dr. Prabhudesai spoke candidly and passionately about her professional journey in medicine. She shared how deeply rewarding it is to witness the joy on patients’ and their families’ faces when recovery follows effective treatment—a moment that, to her, epitomizes the true essence of being a doctor.
Dr.Prabhudesai urged students to pursue their own dreams with unwavering determination and self‑confidence. Drawing from her personal experiences, Dr. Prabhudesai encouraged them to embrace challenges, stay focused, and remember that perseverance is the key to any goal.
Overwhelmed with nostalgia and gratitude, Dr. Prabhudesai expressed how heartwarming it was to reunite with her former teachers and mentors. Her return to the school precincts served as a powerful reminder to current students that treasured memories and strong foundations at Mushtifund can indeed shape future success.

Field Visit to Mormugao Port Trust

CLASS X STUDENTS’ EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO MORMUGAO PORT TRUST.
As part of their experiential learning initiative, the students of Class X from Mushtifund High School, Cujira visited the Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) on 7th July 2025. The visit was organized to provide students with practical exposure to port operations, enhance their understanding of trade logistics, and relate textbook knowledge to real-world infrastructure.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the Public Relations team of MPT. A comprehensive presentation was conducted by port officials, highlighting the port’s history, strategic importance, cargo handling procedures, safety protocols, and the role of MPT in national and international trade. Students were introduced to the various departments that coordinate to ensure the smooth functioning of the port.
Following the presentation, students were taken on a guided tour of the port facilities. The group visited key operational areas such as the cargo berths, container yards and dockyard activities. They witnessed live operations involving cargo handling and container movement, which gave them a unique perspective on the logistics and engineering behind port management.
The visit was both educational and engaging. Students asked insightful questions and interacted enthusiastically with the port staff, displaying keen interest in the functioning of maritime trade.
Mushtifund High school extends its gratitude to the management and staff of MPT for their hospitality and for facilitating such an informative visit.
